True to form, Lydia started taking pictures with the intention of proving her worth. At eight years old, she purchased a point and shoot camera and diligently photographed way too close stuffed animals and motion blurred family pets, attempting to become a better photographer than her graphic designer father. She graduated with an associates degree in commercial photography in 2001 and appropriately earned the title of "best photographer in the family." Recently, both her husband and her daughter have started studying photography, threatening her title.

Lydia brings patience, professionalism, skill, dedication, humor, integrity and impeccable timing to every photo shoot. She works full-time as a photographer in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. She hangs out mostly with the people that frequent her couch: her husband, 13 year old daughter and dog. Aside from photography, her hobbies mostly involve roller skating, rabbits, holiday decorating, subversive cross-stitch, all things 1960’s era and David Bowie.

As a person, Lydia is very goal driven. As a business, Lydia has 2 goals: take good photos and be a good person.

These are the photographs that define a life:
